[EDIT] As some are pointing out, the purchase of the land hasn’t fully completed yet – and as Nikki notes in the video, the factory location is far from a foregone conclusion as Tesla is still seeking the required incentive package to make the facility plausible.

Tesla has currently optioned to buy the land rather than purchase it outright. Usually this is a formality, but we felt it appropriate to point this fact out.

Tesla has been acitvely expanding its production facilities for a number of months now, with the Tesla GigaShanghai already producing cars, construction at Tesla GigaBerlin well underway, and Tesla continuing its look for new sites to build factories in Europe and the U.S.

Yesterday, we heard news of the Austin location where Tesla is expected to build “Cybertruck GigaAustin,” (sometimes referred to as “Terafactory Austin”).

Here’s what we can tell you about the location, and where Tesla is in the purchasing and construction process, as it’s not yet fully completed the sale.
