NYC's dueling Van Gogh exhibits: Here's the original

One ear, two exhibits.

Vincent van Gogh fans are lost in the starry internet night of ticket sellers as two competing exhibits about the famed Dutch painter head to NYC. 

There’s the large-scale animated projection exhibit “Immersive Van Gogh” and then there’s “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience.”

And the Better Business Bureau is warning New Yorkers that one of them is not like the other.

Their names and promotion material are confusingly similar, but those who’ve delved into the differences between the dueling experiences say there’s a huge difference. “Immersive Van Gogh” offers an impressive homage to the late artist created by Italian immersive-exhibition pioneer Massimiliano Siccardi and involving more than “500,000 cubic feet of projections.” It has gotten rave reviews during its multi-city run (“a cathartic and liberating experience,” wrote the Toronto Sun) and sold out in Toronto and Chicago, according to its website. It was even featured in Netflix’s “Emily in Paris.”

“Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” on the other hand, promises 360-degree projections, 15,000 square feet of screens, and “a one of kind Virtual Reality interactive,” according to its site, but watchdogs say its European-based ticketing platform is problematic, and fans of the painter say they’ve unintentionally bought tickets for it thinking it’s the slightly shorter-named homage. 

“They had some issues in the past,” Mario Iacampo, a “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” producer told CBS of their ticketing platform, Fever, which the Better Business Bureau currently lists as having an F — the worst possible rating. 

“They have 64 complaints over the last three years, 59 of them just in the last 12 months that we’ve closed,” Better Business Bureau president Claire Rosenzweig told CBS. 

“Read the descriptions really, really closely because it may not be the thing you want to go to,” said Kathleen Schmidt, who accidentally bought her and her 13-year-old advanced tickets for “The Immersive Experience” thinking it was “Immersive Van Gogh.” 

The competing exhibit even alludes to the duel on its website.

“Check before you GOGH,” warns “Immersive Van Gogh’s” website. 

“Immersive Van Gogh,” opens in NYC on June 10, with tickets starting at $39.99. “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience,” opens in NYC on July 1, with tickets starting at $39.90.

Joe Buck will take a turn as 'Jeopardy!' guest host

Joe Buck will be a guest host on “Jeopardy!” putting him in contention for the coveted permanent job, The Post has learned.

Buck’s episodes are expected to air at some point in the mid-summer, according to sources. Guest hosts have done one- or two-week stints. No word yet on how long Buck will be on.

The tryout will not impact Buck’s schedule as the voice of MLB and the NFL on Fox.

Buck will join a group of guest hosts who have vied to replace the late Alex Trebek. He will be the second from the world of sports.

Over the past two weeks, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hosted the program. Before Rodgers, the host list included Katie Couric, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Ken Jennings and the longtime executive producer of the program, Mike Richards.

Anderson Cooper, Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Savannah Guthrie and Dr. Sanjay Gupta are all on the schedule, as well.

Buck, 51, has been the voice of the World Series for Fox since the 1996 Yankees were winning the World Series. He has called Fox’s top NFL game since 2002.

'Borat' star Maria Bakalova's secret plan to sneak into White House

She gave herself a leg to stand on.

Maria Bakalova, a best supporting actress nominee at Oscars 2021, devised a special contingency measure in case she was busted infiltrating the White House for “Borat 2” — writing her lawyer’s number on her leg.

The Bulgarian star spilled the beans during a Wednesday appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

“I was shaking, I was scared, I had a number of a lawyer written on my leg,” said Bakalova, 24, who played Borat’s daughter Tutar in Sacha Baron Cohen’s acclaimed mockumentary.

The bombshell said she devised the lifeline because she was “without her phone, without anything.” At the time she thought, “If I make it [out of here], I’m going to be so grateful to the universe and to Sacha [Baron Cohen] and the whole team,” she explained.

“You’re literally going there alone,” the Critics’ Choice award winner continued. “It was extremely scary. But I made it with my passport and my name.”

The deleted White House scene shows the undercover actress carousing with Donald Trump Jr. while sporting a brunette wig. She later appears in the same room with former President Donald Trump.

Bakalova, however, didn’t disclose how she managed to sneak in.

Her shocking admission came after Amazon said it will release a supplemental series to “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” that promises hilarious outtakes, deleted scenes and even more outrageous antics from Baron Cohen.

Gucci and Balenciaga unveil biggest fashion mashup of 2021

To celebrate its 100th birthday, Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele threw a bedazzled party complete with a secret club, bright lights and flashing cameras, and the reveal of a highly anticipated noncollaboration with Paris-based luxury label Balenciaga.

And yes, you read that last part right: After rumors of an actual collaboration between the two Kering-owned brands swirled throughout the fashion industry earlier this week, a statement issued by Gucci after unveiling a 16-minute video celebrating its centennial collection (dubbed “Aria”) clarified: “Please note, this is not considered a collaboration or a capsule, and should not be referred to as such.”

But at a juncture when everyone and anyone in the industry has dabbled in monster-hit collaborations (Supreme x Louis Vuitton, Adidas for Prada, the list goes on), what, exactly, does a noncollaboration between two fashion powerhouses sharing a runway look like?

If your mind works anything like Michele’s, envision a “hacking lab” (a term Michele also referenced via press release) in which signature Balenciaga codes reinforced or established under Creative Director Demna Gvasalia are boldly peppered throughout the collection’s just-under-100 looks: majorly exaggerated shoulders, immaculately tailored skirts, outerwear padded at the hips, wasp-waist detail and an impossible to miss whiff of ’80s influence.

Combined with Michele’s fantastical flourishes — feathers! sequins! rainbows! — as well as Michele’s references to Gucci signatures and eras past (horse bit accents, BDSM-inspired black leather whips that double as top handles on purses and a red velvet pantsuit recalling Tom Ford’s reign at the brand), the looks, collectively, offered glimmering hope of the return of festivities — as well as ideas of what to wear to them — in our not-too-distant future as they walked their way through the imaginary Savoy Club. (This was Michele’s nod to brand founder Guccio Gucci, who worked as an elevator operator at the Savoy Hotel in London.)

Die-hards will go straight for looks stamped with both of the iconic brands’ logos (cue the silver embellished skirt suit, which doubles up on logomania with sparkling aplomb) and a chain-link “Balenciaga” necklace bearing Gucci’s signature double-G logo where the single “G” would typically be.

And those emoji heart crystal embellished minaudières? Be still.
